Terms of service

These terms cover your Scheme's use of RectifyHQ. They're written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who you're contracting with

These Terms are between you and Dave DC Pty Ltd, ABN 64 631 517 363, trading as RectifyHQ.

References in these Terms to “RectifyHQ”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Dave DC Pty Ltd trading as RectifyHQ.

The service

RectifyHQ provides Chats, Threads, Issues and search for owners corporations. We'll keep the service available and your record intact; scheduled maintenance is announced in advance.

Your account

You join a Scheme by invitation and sign in with magic links sent to your email. Keep that inbox secure — it is your key. Each account represents one person; don't share it.

Your content

Messages, files and Issues belong to you and your Scheme. You grant us only the licence needed to store, display and search them within your Scheme. Don't upload content that's unlawful or that you don't have the right to share.

Fees

The service costs $10 AUD per lot, per month, plus GST at 10%. Every subscribed Scheme is billed for at least one lot, so a Scheme that hasn't added its Lots yet still pays for one rather than nothing. Billing is monthly; there is no annual plan.

Payment runs through Stripe's own checkout and billing portal, so we never receive your card details. When your lot count changes we adjust the subscription and Stripe prorates the difference, up or down. Fees may change with 60 days' written notice to your Scheme.

Payment failure and cancellation

If a payment fails, your Scheme keeps working for 14 days while it is retried. After that the Scheme is blocked until payment succeeds — the record is not deleted, only closed to you, and it comes back intact when the subscription does.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep full access until then.

Leaving

Your Scheme can leave at any time. While your subscription is current you can export your record from the app; if it has lapsed, email us and we will send it to you. We don't lock you in, and we don't hold your data hostage.

Liability

RectifyHQ is a record-keeping tool, not a strata manager, lawyer or adviser. Decisions made by your committee remain the committee's own. To the extent the law allows, our liability is capped at the fees your Scheme paid in the past 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top of this page, and we'll tell your Scheme directly if the change is one that would matter to you.
